Endorsement

If I'm licensed in Nevada but don't use that license in Nevada but instead I get a job in Texas, will I be able to be endorsed in Texas? Thanks in advance.

Endorsed?
I think you need to get a Texas license to practice in Texas.

Yes get a license endorsed... I know you can have your licensed endorsed in another state, I just don't know if you can get endorsed even if you have never used your license in the original state.

It doesnt matter if you have never worked under your licensure but only that you hold an "active" licensure and one without disciplinary action pending. Check with the TX BON what they require in regards to licensure verification, cost, application fees, fingerprinting, etc.

Thread moved to International Forum, since there are additional requirements for a foreign nurse to endorse to most states.

You will need to follow the requirements for Texas for endorsement, whether or not you use a license makes no difference to anyone. But you must have a valid license to practice as an RN in Texas, if that is where you are going to work.

They do require that you submit the CES to them for endorsement.

Hello everyone, I just received my LPN license from NY, but would like to receive an endorsement from CT or FL. Do I need to work in NY before I can do so? I've tried to look up in the states' websites, to find out how many hours are required from ea. state but no luck. Can anyone help?

States do not have required hours before you can endorse. Try contacting the BON for the state where you want to endorse to. The endorsement is to, not from.

Again, as I have asked before, you are posting on the International Forums, so do you have an actual visa that will permit you to work in the US?

Then you do not have any requirements, but just check with the BON for the state where you wish to endorse to.

This thread is under the International Forum, and in most cases LPNs do not have a visa to permit them to work in the US. That is why I was asking.
