Pretty much self explanatory on the title but I was just wondering since I'm a dual citizen and am not taking the NLE am I still required to complete the OR and DR cases?

no, you dont have to. i didnt complete mine.. only prc requires those, not the bon in the states...

I finished mine eventhough I didn't take the NLE. They are still considered clinical rotations required by your school.

You might have to because its part of your clinical requirements. I suggest that you do complete them, and if you can try to take the NLE. I recently took it and passed, a few states are starting to require licenses from the country you were educated, regardless if you are a citizen. I took it just to be on the the safe side.

My sister-in-law who is also a US citizen went to college in PI and never took the NLE. She qualified to take NCLEX-RN under California BON. Last year she took it and unfortunately failed. She is registering now under the BON of Michigan, which requires a license in the country that she was educated, even though she already previously took the NCLEX.

To make the long story short, she came back just to take the NLE. So my advice is YES... complete the DR/OR requirements, and try to take the NLE if you can while your still in the country!
