Demand for Enrolled Nurses in Canada???

Currently there is NO demand for internationally educated nurses in Alberta or BC. Enrolled nurses are finding that their education isn't considered equivalent and they're have to undergo SEC (FAQ - Substantially Equivalent Competence (SEC) Assessments ) and significant upgrading before they're eligible to write the Canadian Registered Nurse Exam ( FAQ - The Canadian Registered Nurse Examination (CRNE) ).

An Enrolled Nurse is the old UK SEN (state enrolled nurse).

They are usually issued practice permits by the College of LPNs.

BUT like Jan said there is no demand for IENs. Heck, most the last years graduating classes are still looking for work and very well may be knocking on Australia's door for work.
