CTN- Delayed Deployment to UK

World International

Published

Hi, I just want to ask if there are other nurses here who are for deployment to UK under the Continental Travelnurse Agency. I was supposed to be deployed last month (April 2016), but they said there was a problem with the hospital assignment. My problem is that I resigned from work already to prepare myself on this new part of my life, but a week later in April, they told me this bad news. Anyone here who's part of the batch from IPAMS? Thanks

Hi fellow CTNurse!

Sadly, yes, there's a handful of us who are awaiting deployment. This is beyond our control.

Well anyway, we have this group in FB where there are 6 members as of the moment. If you want to be part of this, come find me. If we have CTN as a common friend, you will be able to see me. I sent you a PM

I hope to find others who are in the same boat as us, so that we may be able to support each other, in the best ways possible :)

You are going to UK as RNs for hospital?

That's right

How does this work with you being able to purchase flight tickets? Wouldn't they end up being quite expensive? How much notice are you given?

The home office has been very strict. Our hospital went to Philippines to hire RNs about 100 something nurses and maybe only less than 10 arrived last January or February.

Hello!

Glad to have found this. May I also join this FB group you're talking about? I'm also (still) waiting for a hospital placement from CTN. I haven't resigned yet from my current work place because they strongly discourage me to do so until a placement is confirmed. Hope to hear back from you. Thanks!

Hey! It's been more than a month since this post. Have you heard anything from CTN/IPAMS yet? I'm also waiting for a hospital assignment (since they said beforehand that the earliest that I'd be deployed is by JUNE, and it is already June...)

Anyway, I hope I hear back from you, too. Scanned through this thread and saw that there's a facebook group for us CTN nurses awaiting placements. I'll appreciate it if I can talk to you guys as well.

Thanks

Sorry, I'm not sure my pm was sent because apparently, this site requires you to have a certain number of posts before you're allowed to send a pm.

Anyway, thanks for the response. I guess they've already found you a placement? If so then congratulations! Do you happen to know anyone I can talk to about this? Someone still waiting for a hospital placement?

Regards to you and thanks again!

Hi all, hope you're all managing to progress okay- I wanted to ask- for those of you at the deployment stage- are you not allowed to go to the UK anyway and 'wait' there for placement? Or do they only do COS once they've found you the first placement? How often are you updated?

Hi there! How are y'all now? I hope you are all deployed by now. Just wanna hear from you and your experiences with CTN.

Hi! How is the deployment process now in CTn? Is it faster now?
