i was reading some posts lately about crne and one member posted an answer that crne focuses more on the psychosocial area more than the technical aspect of nursing..

to all canadian nursing grads:

please share the scope of psychosocial nursing issues to study:

(i believe that there might be a slight difference between Canadian-based nursing and American-based nursing education)

Much of the psychosocial content of the exam relates to therapeutic communication. There are also questions about health promotion, social supports in the community and pertinent Canadian web sites. If you have the study guide, there are many sample questions that will help you understnd how they phrase their questions, what sort of responses they look for and some areas for further investigation.

Go to the CNO website (www.cno.org) and RNAO (www.rnao.ca) and look up the standards/best practice guidelines that pertain to therapeutic communication and nurse-client relationships. This will give you the basics that will help with the exam

i applied to saskatchewan registered nurses association..

so, do is still check out the websites you listed above?

Try looking in the search engines for your province and see what comes up. At least these sites will give you an idea on what to look for

The CRNE is the same exam no matter which province you write in so you can use the resources on any/all of the provinicial associations
