Course of Action after results of Test 3 and 5 retake come out?

Updated Jul 03, 2007 at 03:49 AM by el_guapo

I am a June 2006 board exam passer from the philippines that re-took Tests 3 and 5 last June 11,2007 to remove the stigma from last year's leakage-marred exams. I have just learned that the results of the exam will not be released until Aug.15-30. However, I am already scheduled to take the NCLEX in the U.S. on Aug.3 and consequently will be leaving soon and before the results will come out.

In light of this, I would like to know what is the best course of action that I should take, so that I may still be able to process important papers that I will need, once the results come out, even when I am already in the U.S.

I was advised to prepare a Special Power of Attorney but I do not know what specific powers to give to the person I appoint as my agent as I am unfamiliar about which steps are to be taken if/when I pass the exam, and to which agency (PRC or DOLE) my agent will need to conduct business with...

Please advise

Thank You

P.S.

If you would be able to list the specific functions my agent will need to perform, that would be most helpful...

This needs to be in the International forum. If you are planning on staying in the US and change your status on the provision on passing NCLEX then I should warn you that currently there is retrogression in progress and you are not able to do this as there are no visas and looks to being no visas for several months.

I really suggest you do a good read on both the International and Phillipine forums as plenty of info there

Moved your thread to our Int'l forum where it is more appropriate and where it will get more responses. Thanks.

Simple question...............are you going to the US with a tourist visa? If so, you will be returning to the Philippines after testing, or should be. The US is under a retrogression for nurses, and you cannot have anything submitted that will let you remain and work in the US.

Please take the time to do some reading here.
