contract fees

Hi am looking for some advice i am a RN over in the us from the uk i have been here for 3 mths my husband has been offered a great job in california but i have a job in boston. I want to leave my contract as it will be eaiser for me to relocate rather than him he is limited to the work he can do he is an engineer. I have a buy out fee of $15,000 has anyone bought themselves out? any tips? thanks x
