Confused about H1B

The thing that your agency left out is the fact that the job must require the BSN as entry level for that specific job. Most jobs at the bedside in the US do not require the BSN. So unless, you have significant experience in an area as an RN already, you are not going to see it easy to get a job under this category.

There is much about it then just having the BSN and it being non-profit. And it must be university based, just not non-profit. Again, there is much more to it.

Majority of hospitals in the US are actually non-profit.

And you are correct, there are many specifics that would need to be met.
You are under the retrogression, and there is not going to be any way to speed it up.

This is an old memo but everything still holds true except for the H1C w/c has been re-instated since last year but will again expire by 2010.

I would try and consult a 3rd-party immigration lawyer for an unbiased opinion regarding what the agency is saying and what you have researched, thus far.

I was offered with a direct hire with a US hospital and they would petition me for an H1-B visa. I am a BSN graduate but still do not possess a relevant hospital experience. Would it be possible that the employer would file for my visa and while waiting, I would work to be able to have a hospital experience?

I was offered with a Direct Hire by a US hospital. They will be using an H1-B visa for their prospects. I am a BSN graduate but currently do not possess a relevant nursing experience. The employer told me that they will hire nurses who have at least 6 months of experience.

Would it be possible that the employer will hire me and start my visa processing and while waiting, i will work in a hospital to have an experience?

Sorry, but the nursing home is not exempt from the cap for the H1-B visa, so there is not a chance to be able to get it this year. Also they do not require the BSN for the job in the nursing home, so they do not meet the requirements for the H1-B visa either.

You wrote to me that you were offered a job in a nursing home, not a hospital; so you have me confused as well.

Job must require the BSN for entry level and there are not too many thagt do that to begin with.

Hi! I am BSN, RN in my home country..I already have my SSN & EAD. Currently, I am here in US preparing for my nclex. I want to know if H1b visa possible for me? I have 3yrs experience in Labor & Delivery Area. Where can I get sponsorship for h1B?

You will need to find a hospital that will sponsor you for a H1b and not all hospitals will use this type of visa. If you already have a EAD in what capacity do you have it?

I am international nurse and in L2 visa here. i applied for ead & the expiry is until 2010. is it possible for me to have h1b though i dont have state license yet? so that i can stay here for a longer time. thanks!
