by lerissa101 Nov 18, '12Hi there. I'm a nurse with two years experience here in the Philippines. I recently applied in two agencies specializing in singapore employment since my parents are Permanemt Residents there. I applied as an Enrolled NUrse at thr first agency since Im 1 year short of experience. (Sg Employers want their foreign nurse to have 3 years exp before sponsoring them for the SNB exam and subsequently hiring them when they pass). The salary ranges from 1150 to 1300. And fortunately, I was among the shortlisted applicants and that I could take the interview and exam at a scheduled date. Temporarily scheduled on the last week of December. The other agency gave me two options. I would be a clinic nurse earning 1500sgd monthly, no food or housing allowance (it's an urgent hiring btw)...or I could wait a liitle more for the hospital employement but again because I only have 2 years exp my chances are, lets just say not that good. So that just leaves with two opportunities - the clinic nurse and the enrolled nurse.I'd readily take the clinic nurse position but I'm not sure if I can advance to a staff nurse position from there or would the enrolled nurse position at a hospital give me a better chance at it.Any insight would be very much appreciated..
