    • Hi there! I am new here. I just want to ask if anybody here was assigned to a clinic in the US? What are the duties? I am a nurse in the Philippines. I was hired by an American agency and they would assign me in a clinic.Please share your thoughts. Thanks!

    Congrats kabayan! I have not been a clinic nurse. But i have been a patient so based on what i saw, the nurse does some basic assessment, give meds and assist the md for procedures.. Which state are you going to?

    Hi there! Thanks for your reply. I was really wondering what it's like to be a clinic nurse there since here from what I saw secretaries are the one assign in a clinic and they just list the patients names and then assist the doctors in simple task...Anyway, I'll be going to ND! From what state are you?

    It depends on what kind of clinic. if it was Family Practice, you may just take the patients history, meds, chief complaints, and vital signs. But if it was some surgical clinic, then you might have to do recovery, some simple OR stuff, etc. they should state it on your job description when you signed up for the job... I am from CA... ND? wow, good luck. i hope you don't get too homesick there.

    I still don't have the job description I guess I'll have it soon before my embassy interview. I guess I'll just get ready for whatever scenario I will be having there. I hope I can manage homesickness well. Thanks!

    Clinic jobs in the Us are usually highly coveted due to the hours.

    I agree with bank hours and the current glut of. nurses I would be find it hard to believe no local nurses would be interested.
