Re: CIR is finished
Thank you Suzanne for everything you are doing!! I think we all know how much time you are spending in this forum in order to help us and your effort are very very very much appreciated!!!!!
from all the forums on the internet you have been always the most trusted one, always telling the truth either good or bad.
in the past you mentioned you have trusted lawyers who advise you, you mentioned that they think that somkething for nurses should be availble by summer, I guess they thought the CIR will pass and will include the Nurses...
Well I think the CIR was a big Surprise to us all, it seems in this bill that the Democrats are against Nurse Immigration and our only supporters are the Republicans who are now defeted and in Minority,
What do you think about the future of nurse immigration to the U.S, will we have a support to be included in a seperate category than other Employment Based 3 category?
Second question regarding the upcoming retrogression that will probably will happend in the next month or so..., while the Visa Bullitin clearly states the visa numbers will be severly retrogress, I do remember a large forward movment in EB3 cutoff dates for "rest of the world" category before the July visa bulliten that made all section Current in order not to waste Visa numbers this Year, My question is, do you think that severe retrogression of numbers mean that "rest of world" category will retrogress further then the June Visa Bullitin?
I know that there are no clear answers, Just wanted to hear your oppinion...
Thanks again for everything!

If they have been in the US for the past 20 years, that is one thing. But for those that came here illegally last December and to be included in this is just not right either.
There are many of you that have waited years to do the correct and legal thing. Why should someone that snuck in illegally be entitled to everything that most have to wait five years to get? Makes no sense at all. And this is why it did not pass.
I have spent years here helping foreign nurses, and I do not like to see anyone taken advantage of. You have trusted me in the past to give you honest opinions on things, and I have done just that. And I have stated all along that the CIR was not a good thing, and it was not. Also the idea of inlimited visas for nurses for ten years is also not going to get thru anything. If you were already in the US, you would see that it is not a plausible thing to do.
