CGFNS evaluation and board application questions

Hi fellow nurses and especially Suzanne!

I would really appreciate if somebody could answer my questions:

1. May I apply RN licence to several states simultaneously? The problem is that my current state takes indefinitely long to process fingerprinting and some states don't need it.

2. Have somebody had any problems with evaluation of his/her nursing diploma and, if so, could you be more spesific? For instance, my friend, who was successfully evaluated by CGFNS, had classes "Ear, Throat & Nose Diseases", "Eye Diseases", "Basics of Reanimatology&Anesthesiology". But I did not take those classes, and now i am afraid of being declared invalid to take NCLEX.

Thanking in anticipation of your reply

You cannot apply to several states for initial licensure at the same time. Once you have been issued a license, then you can apply to as many states as you wish for endorsement.

You need to send your own transcipts to CGFNS and not worry about what your firend had. Those classes that you have listed are electives and are not required classes.

You also do not list which country where you attended nursing school and how many years that you attended for. That also makes a big difference.

Suzanne,

I do appreciate your reply.
