how you mean that Silverdragon? Oh, btw i stand myself corrected with the date it was posted on CGFNS, June 12th, not July.

Here's the exact news from CGFNS website about it..

Washington Board of Nursing will require CES Full Education Course-by-Course Report starting today
Effective June 12th, the Washington State Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission (i.e., Board of Nursing) will begin requiring the CES Full Education Course-by-Course Report for RNs and LPNs applying for licensure by exam. Applicants applying for endorsement may have copies of transcripts forwarded to the Board, or a CES Report.
Washington will continue to accept the CP certificate for RNs applying for licensure by exam or endorsement.
Does it mean that they will allow foreign nurses to sit for the NCLEX with the CES only in lieu of CP certificate? and that CP certificate to follow?
Also, i qoute Manou saying on "New Changes to licensure in the US" thread "
the board of nursing of WA state does not require the CGFNS Certification anymore, they require the CES course-by-course evaluation, but those who have CGFNS certificate can still submit it , it is still accepted"
My understanding on CGFNS news is the same with Manou. I am thinking, if the WA BON requires for CES, then why would they still require for the CP certification (which means sitting and passing the CGFNS exam) when it would mean double work for them in terms of evaluation of our transcripts of record... I checked on WA BON website today(website updated as of July 19th) and their requirements has not changed yet.Says there, foriegn nurses has to pass the CGFNS exam before we can apply for the State Licensure.
With the news from CGFNS and what i have found out from WA BON website, I'm soo confused.. please help..i really wanted to know so i could finally decide which State should I apply for licensure. My fiancee is in WA, so i would prefer to apply directly in WA,that is if CGFNS exam is not required anymore, otherwise i will consider other state like Vermont (would this be a wise decision?) and convince him to move there instead..hmnnnn..
Thank you in advance for the time you spent answering my concerns.
