hi maury,
try to visit www.rn.ca.gov, it's the website of the CA BON, you can download the application forms there. The steps in the application process are also printed there. good luck.

This is in the wrong forum but CES is a credential evaluation not an exam and doesn't matter if applying to CA if you want to work in a state that requires CES for foreign nurses then you have to get it done, the BON will not endorse if the criteria isn't met. We have posted all information on the thread you started in the International forum.

What someone had to do four years ago is not relevent to what is happening now. At that time, almost every state in the US required the actual CGFNS exam, but that is no longer the case.

And since this is specific to international requirements, it is being moved to the International Forum. It has nothing to do with the NCLEX exam directly.

For those of you that have not been following what is going on in the US now, there are less than five states out of the entire US that still require the CGFNS exam. It just is not needed anymore.

Texas only requires a credentials eval, and nothing more from CGFNS. The CES only............is just evaluates what you have done and there is no test involved with it.

And 100% incorrect information, the application can be downloaded for almost any state from the website for the BON that the nurse is interested in.

Old information, Texas does not require the CGFNS exam and longer, and has not needed it for sometime.

And you cannot work in Texas with a CA license. CA license is only good in Texas. You must endorse a CA license to Texas to be able to work there. And you must have a SSN# to be able to get a CA license issued to you or you cannot use the endorsement procedures.

Again, take the time to do some reading on the International Forum, there is much information that you need to know.

Thread closed, already answered in multiple threads on the International Forum. Results are still the same. It needs to be completed for Texas, and not the CGFNS exam.
