Certification program help! so confused

will the CGFNS certification program preserve the IELTS???

is it true that if you hold the certificate, it would be an advantage since you can be admitted to any state?

what are the requirements for licensure by endorsement?

will the CGFNS certificate be advantage to the endorsement, being a foreign nurse?

i really hope somebody could help me with this....

what are the requirements for licensure by endorsement? you need your current USRN license and you social security number.

will the CGFNS certificate be advantage to the endorsement, being a foreign nurse? again, what cgfns cert are you pertaining to? visa screen? or cgfns exam certificate?

i really hope somebody could help me with this....
you need to pass nle, nclexrn, ielts in order for you to have visa screen certificate. cgfns exam cert. is a cert given after you passed the cgfns exam...its not the same. hope this helps?

CGFNS Certificate is only required by less than five states, no reason for it. And if you are thinking of going that route, to get your English exams to last, do not go that route. Much easier to just retake the English than have to prepare for the CGFNS exam.

i browsed the CGFNS website. and there is a page there that listed the states and their requirement for CGFNS certificate and others such as the credentials evaluation. http://www.cgfns.org/files/pdf/maps/sbon_req.pdf

you mean to say this is not updated?

can you give me a list of the states that do not require CGFNS anymore? California is the only state i know... hope i dont bother you so much..

There are already multiple threads on this forum that list the states that still require the CGFNS exam. And as we always state, you need to check out the website for the BON that you are planning on going thru. That will have the most updated list.

And even if you look at the states on the CGFNS website, it also tells you to go to the BON website for the state that you are interested in for the most current information.

CGFNS does not need to update their list frequently, and they do not with that.

Again, where do you wish to work? Never go by which state requires what, but focus first on where you wish to work.

I never make decisions for anyone, you need to take the responsibility for that. And you also need to spend some time and do some research. Many states have specific requirements for licensure as a foreign nurse and you need to meet those requirements.

You need to do your homework, and then make an educated decision, not what someone told you to do.
