hi
i already received the confirmation letter from NBV, requiring me to do the Bridging program course, but im still undecided since it will cost me much...

deakin university is the cheapest educational institution offering the program, but still they have selection criterias, this doesnt apply to deakin only but for all institutions and facilities offering the course.

good luck to you.

hi there rlssem... so what are your plans?

really is deakin the cheapest.. how did you apply for the nbv? how long and were they critical with their reqts? i am a second courser and havent had work experience but only 6 months as trainee or volunteer in a govt hospital here in PI.. and just had iv therapy..thats all.. do you think i would qualify for bridging? what plan are you currently on right now..if you dont mind...

my brother and his family is at victoria and would be prs in a few months.. i dont know which path to take.. if they can sponsor me or what..maybe you have thoughts on this..please..

maybe we can chat if thats okay..i cant send a pm yet but i hope i can email or chat with you..

although in aeliths thread (super nice girl who knows tons about aus procedures) she said the bridging is cheaper compared to 2 years study.,..

what do you think?

thank you so much for replying. hope to hear from you again

go to www.nbv.org.au download the application form.send all your credentials to NBV together with the application form, once they received it they will call you for payment details. send only certified true copies ok. all papers that you got there, send it all.

as for my application, it was approved two months after my lodgement, actually i did ring them after a month from my lodgement just to check the progress of it. when they send me the list of educational providers and facilities that are offering the program, i directly grab my phone and ring them one by one, but sad to say only 3 of them are offering the program as of the moment: Deakin University (the cheapest one), Victorian College of Health and Nursing (AUD$10,000), and Employment and Training Education Australia (AUD$ 11,000)...

my plan: i have already lodge my application to QNC, the last two weeks, and obviously i'll be doing my registration there, its much cheaper there compared to victoria, and if luckily passed the tests i can apply for a registration in victoria through Mutual recognition Act.

I’m a nurse from the Phils and I’m also planning to gain registration in Australia. From what I’ve learned so far, Victoria and Queensland are good choices. I’ve also heard of someone who was registered in WA. However, it seems WA requires one year experience before they consider you (pls verify this too, anyone).
My questions:
1.Does Queensland require work experience?
2.Do you still need to be assessed by AMNC before proceeding to the specific territories?
I would really appreciate some answers. Thank you in advance.

Hi, ill try to anwer your questions, I think WA doesnt require work experience, but the hospitals that you will applying for the BP that require at least 1 year experience.

Same wih QNC, they dont require work experience per se, but the assessment is case to case basis.

You can go ahead and apply to your board of choice, as long as your requirements are complete, just follow the registration procedures. ANMC doesnt have anything to do with the registration. Good luck.
