Bridging Course For Oz

PLEASE ASSIST!!!
I am a South African RN.
OCT 2007 : Was given a post in a Hospital in Perth. Neuroward RN.
OCT 2007: Visa application (457...includes my hubby and x2 kids)+ Registration Application for NBWA began
NOV 2007: Immigration officer needs Registration Number!!!
NOV 2007: NBWA say that I need to do a Bridging Course. For this I need to get a student visa and come over to OZ (at my own expense) stay there for 8weeks (pay for the course). Then only will they provide Registration number!!
DEC 2007: Hosp manager advised that I apply for Registration with the Nurses Board of Victoria.
FEB 2008: Vic Board still no answer....
MAR 2008: Please advise if a Bridging Course is necessary for South African Rn's as well ( I work in the ICU)
HELLLLPPPPP!!!!
