I think you need a CGFNS-CES (Credential Evaluation Service) before you can register in NCLEX-RN exam.

Good luck.

As mentioned for AZ you need CES doing before the BRN will give eligibility to sit NCLEX. You may not require English if the CES indicates that all your course work was done in English. However if that is waivered it will be required for VSC. Also AZ will not issue a license without proof of PR (Legal status in the US) or USC

Be prepared for a long wait with retrogression

Don't forget about this reqirement:

*************************************************************

6. Evidence of being employed as a nurse for at least 960 hours within the past 5 years in a country or territory where the principal language is English, i.e. Australia, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Canada (except Quebec), Ireland, Trinidad, Tobago, South Africa, Jamaica, Barbados, or United States/Territories. (Copy of work record can be included with your application.)

*************************************************************

If you are a fresh graduate it isn't a problem but if you have graduated more than 5 years ago then you MUST fulfill the above requirement in order to be licensed in Arizona as a foreign nurse.

Also, for Arizona there is an official document that you can complete and have notarized which will permit you to get the physical license even though you are not in the USA. However, you are required by law to provide the SSS within 10 days of issue or your license will be revoked.

You can still go through the process as many states now will not give a license without proof of residency. The key is not to go to CA for initial licensure as they will destroy your file after 3 years if you haven't given them a SSN or requested a extension. Once you are in the US and apply for a SSN (once you provide proof of work/immigrant visa) a license is quickly issued

@silverdragon: i see. i'll keep that in mind. thanks for that info. my hopes are coming back to me.

oh i see. :p

Hi,

Filling the AZ BON application, I see that we have to pay 200 $ for application fee, which includes 50$ for finger print, I already have the finger print card done, So do I still have to pay them the 50 $ ?

Also mode of payment is eithr check or money order.

I dont have an account with any bank.

And AZ Bon says "All personal checks must be pre-printed with your name and address and made

payable to the Arizona State Board of Nursing.

How am I supposed to do this ?

Cant I use my hubby s check to pay the fee?
