Australia versus New Zealand

but how hard is it to work in Australia when u just graduated from NZ nursing school? I would have to reapply to Australia for immigration papers all over no?

well... I am in a sticky situation.

I am in nursing program in a local community college in California. However, my parents brought me here (California) illegally from South Korea when I was 11 years old. This means I can graduate with a Associates in Science in nursing and pass the NCLEX but will not receive a license...

I love nursing and want to pursue it in other English speaking countries as a back up... Unless this law called "Dream Act" passes I cannot be legalized in the U.S. While I can make 47dollar an hour as a nurse here in California, I will have to start all over in a different English speaking country.

So obviously I am starting to look into Canada, Australia, and New Zealand as options.
But money will be an issue since i will have to get my self into debt (student loan) to go to school and study nursing all over again.

New Zeal and would be top option... just because I love outdoors and sports and the beauty of the island... but if the salary is too low and I can't pay back the student loan... and live a low quality of life, I dunno if that's worth it. I still need money to enjoy and pursue sports, recreation, etc.

nuts? I grew up here, are you kidding me? I can't go back to Korea, my education is not compatible, I can't write Korean, I grew up in the states since I was sixth grade...

I have valid passport from Korea, I would have to go back to Korea then immigrate to a different country. There are about a million students like my self who grew up here and because of their parents are considered "illegal." There is currently a law in the congress that can legalize students like my self but it's still in progress, up for vote next year.

Student loan... I would get from Korea or from New Zealand... if that's possible... with a family cosigner.

Look I get it, I am in a pretty crappy situation, but I didn't have any choice, it's not exactly the situation I have dreamed of.

um... yes obviously I would have to apply from Korea... I know that. Yes, parent's fault I know.

Authorities... I know lol. Maybe you don't know anything about how it works in the U.S.... we have illegal immigrants in front of home depot hanging around looking for jobs. We have 10 million illegal immigrants in the U.S., huge problem... congress is trying to pass immigration reform for that very purpose. I know the consequence, the 10 year ban, etc much better than you do bro. Leaving now versus getting deported doesn't make any difference.

BTW i can legally go to school here in the states because I grew up here....

anyway, can we not talk about my status? I simply stated that to paint you a picture of why I need to immigrate to a different country as an international student. I need to know if after graduation, immigrating to another country as a nursing student is a realistic possibility...
