Apply For State Licensure

by rannRN

hi guys..just want to ask? What state do you think we should apply for licensure if we don't have any employer yet? We already passed the CGFNS and IELTS exam, so we are looking for a state wherein they don't need SSN# for us to be able to get a license.

Thank you.
Anything is highly appreciated.

You truly cannot have an employer if you have not passed the NCLEX exam, they are unable to legally offer you a job without having tested with either the CGFNS exam, or the NCLEX-RN exam and have passed it.

There are many states that will let you test, but you need to base it on where you ultimately wish to work, this is something that you should be researching. Even if we post states here, rules are always changing for each and every state.

Will also depend on if you have a local license or not as well.

The US is a very large country, suggest that you do some research on where you think that you may wish to live and then go from there. You still have plenty of time to make a decision if you have already applied to CA. No reason to submit to any other state at this time.

Your passing letter is valid for three years, so there is definitely no rush to get things done right now.
