Anyone worked for oil companies


not sure where to post this
has anyone worked for the oil companies saudi arabia,any recomendations,
good idea or not ?

ARAMCO was a good place, Im not sure about now. A good place also is alkhobar, if you can find a hospital there. Govt and military hospitals are good too..they are more strict but they pay more. Try not to go to a private hospitals and clinic...not a good idea.

thanks for replying so quick.did you work for aramco and what happens re paying taxes here when you return ?im consididering signing up for 3 years

I did not work in ARAMCO, but we sent people there like 7 years ago. I dont know exactly about the taxes now, but before you dont have to pay taxes if your sending at least 70% of your salry as remmitances. Your considered as OFW and the Phil. I just dont know now.

On another note, those RN who worked in Saudi and went to London, wanted to go back to Saudi for monetary reasons. Saudi does not pay more compared to London RN but they dont get taxed and room and board is included. So at the end of the day, their take home pay is more in Saudi. But of course there's a lot of trade-offs.

I have worked for one oil company which as a branch in saudi Arabia. Which provides a good salary and accommodation for the person how are there in that company.
