My assessment was approved on Sept. They required me to take english exam (ielts) within 3 months. luckily I took IELTS last july. so I submitted my result immediately. after that I received a letter recommending me to CAS (competency assessment service). Choices are to take the Assessment test or education modules. I choose to take the exam because education modules are very expensive (aud$900/module). I paid aud$260 for the test A. I am scheduled now to take the exam .

guy32,

so it took 5 months for you to receive the approval although you mentioned some problems with authentication.. will take your advice on that.. thanks..

good luck with the exam and hope you find the study materials or download all that should be obtain from the net.. its just 70 items for 1 1/2 hours of heaven..

update us then..

Hi,
What issues with notarization did you encounter? Please advise. My lawyer did not input his address and telephone numbers on the forms. Just his stamp, signature, etc. Thanks in advance

Kit25:

Requesting for your patience for my queries:
  1. I know that the lawyer should certify/sign on each page of the photocopy documents. Where did he sign and write those legal words, at front page of each pages or at the back page of each pages?? i'm curious because there are photocopy documents where there is no sufficient space at the front page for the lawyer to write his certification.
  2. Would you know, for applicants with no credit cards, is "bank draft" an acceptable form of payment?
  3. Together with the application, we will send payment of Aus$158.00 only? am i right..
Hope you could share on this. Thanks.

1. I photocopied all my documents in long bond paper so there is sufficient space in front of the document. I've put the space on the side for certifcates. The transcript would be different since it occupies the space of the entire long bond paper. My lawyer certified it a at the back of the page.
2. I am not sure about bank draft since I have my own credit card. You can actually ask someone who has a credit card to pay and just bill you when the actual bill arrives.
3. That's right. You're not actually obliged to pay the license fee becasue you still have to go for the CAS.

Hi, with regards to the photocopy of the documents, only the lawyer's certification is acceptable to QNC.. Which brings us to a specific question, if you have a photocopy of your diploma and your TOR which were certified true copy by your school's registrar, is the registrar's certification acceptable to QNC? This is were the vagueness comes in.. Me, i will have my documents certified by a lawyer instead of the registrar unless i'll send original copies which is not recommended.

In the Philippines, only notary public and solicitor are allowed to certify a document. Lawyers who are not registered as notary public cannot certify your documents for QNC. Regarding registrar certifcation, QNC will not accept that. You have to have your own original transcript and original RLE and have it certified by a notary public.

Hi guy32,

I was curious about your issues with certification. What issues did you encounter in the certification of your documents to QNC that took you 5 months for your approval. Thank you so much.

Question Re: Any Queensland Nurses here?
hi. QNC is very particular with the notarization. there should be a note that the document is a "true copy from the original document". Each page must have that note and signature of a notary public.
In my case, (im a walk-in applicant) it took five months because after the first review of my documents(2 months after I submitted my docs) I have this problem with notarization. Luckily I brought all my originals with me, so I show my original documents to them (QNC notarised my docs) but still the waiting period is another 2 months(to have them review my application again).

and to think it's easy to follow-up because im just 2 blocks away from the QNC OFFICE.

hi kit25, guy32 mentioned that the certification (in a way) should state "true copy of the original document".. how about your documents, what was the english used?

i have initially talked to a lawyer and understood that he will just stamp "certified copy and authenticated", as i see it now, i will purchase custom-made stamp which state those words mentioned by guy32. just to be sure di ba..

btw kit25, remember my problem with my "board certificate" not yet available and would be release sometime April 2009 - June 2009. I come across somewhere that QNC will send you a letter informing what documents are lacking, and you're given 6 months to comply. The counting of 6 months starts on the day they received your documents.. I guess the solution to my problem is for me to send my application sometime February 2009 (hence my 6th month deadline would be around August 2009), thus if they will hold my application pending "board certificate" submission, i could still comply this before August 2009. And it's better to send application around February, so that my application will be initially reviewed already, unlike if i send it April or May when i receive my board cert. that's late already..

i hope i got my plans right.. for your comment.. thank you for your usual help...
