Any Filipinos here undergoing Continuing eds (CE's)?

Hi there!!! I recently passed NCLEX and now thinking about the renewal in two years time...kind'a advanced huh???But you see with retrogression going on, I don't think i can be there by the time comes. So I'm already thinking how to get those 30 CE's or contact hours online....

Any of you enrolled with those online CE's???I would appreciate any info's or help on how to go about it!!! This forum helped me a lot with my application and Im hoping the same with this.

Did you actually go thru a state that will issue a hard license?

With a hard license in hand, you can find many courses or classes or credits that you can obtain on-line, you just need to make sure that the hours are accepted by your BON. Not all of them accept all credits.

Hi Suzanne...Yes, I applied in NM. Thanks to you for i followed your advise in not having cali as my initial license.

I come across with medscape that offers free online CE's but I don't know if NM accepts their units. I think medscape's accredited by NYSNA under the ANCC.

Am I correct that any provider (including medscape) accredited by another state will also be accredited by NM?Because NM Association of Nurses do not have medscape as one of their providers.

Lastly, I just need to print their certifications and keep them with me until 1 year after my renewal right? Just in case I'm randomly picked for Audit.

Thanks for your time. You just don't know how much help you guys give to thousands of people here.... members and non-members alike!!!

Godbless!!

Medscape is accepted by most BONs, you may just wish to check with the NM to see if they accept the CEUs from there.

Always keep the certificates for four years, that is the time that most BONs require that you hold onto them for.
