american AAS looking for nursing position in the UK

My dream has always been to find a nursing position that will allow me to relocate to the United Kingdom. I am currently an Registered Nurse with an Associates of Applied science (2 year degree) working in corrections and in a hospital for long term ventilator dependent patients. I have a telemetry background, I worked as a monitor tech. during nursing school. I have also worked as an LPN in home health, long term care, and in clinics. I am currently looking at online AAS to BSN degrees but I am finding that there is a certain number of clinical or contact hours required in the UK that may not be met with many online programs. I have tried to research travel agencies but many do not want to commit till I have my BSN.

What is nursing like in the UK? What agencies are the best to work for? What are they looking for? What certifications, experience, etc. will help me to find employment in the UK? How much help can I reasonably expect an agency to give me with housing, relocation, visas, and paperwork? Will they provide housing for my family or just myself? Would I be able to bring my daughter?

My husband is starting nursing school soon and I was hoping we could find an agency that would take both of us. I would love any advice or tips.

Don't know too much about this but I think you should start with the NMC
