ADN working abroad

I am going to be finishing my ADN RN program in May.

I am a foreign student in the US.

How can I get a job? or get a hospital to sponsor and recruit me?

Can I work with an ADN in Europe, Australia and Canada?

How is the immigration of nurses to the EU/Europe, Canada or Australia?

I would think that you need to address your questions to the countries in which you hope to work. Each country will be the only entity able to address its specific requirements.

Not quite sure why you post this question on an American site if you are a foreign student and do not plan to work in the US.

i think you might need a bsn degree for the countries you listed. there is an international forum here. maybe they will be able to tell you more. good luck.

the op is currently a student here in america. i am assuming she has a student visa so once school is finished i don't think she will able to work here unless a company sponsors her.

Most countries require the minimum of a BSN or equivalent.

It is my understanding that all (if not most)European countries require EU citizenship as a condition of license/registration in addition to a BSN/equivalent degree.

Immigration & work visa sponsorship also depend on your country of citizenship.

understood. but why ask the questions here when legitimate answers could only come from the country in which she hopes to obtain employment?

I am studying at a community college in the US now.

I would go for my BSN in the Fall, but I can't afford the tuition without working or a hospital/job sponsoring me.

Because of retrogression you will find it hard to get a hospital to sponsor you however you should be able to apply for OPT and work for a year if you haven't already used OPT before and need to apply for it ASAP but check with your student advisor. I don't think the EU will accept ADN, I know the UK currently will not accept ADN as stated on the NMC website. Canada for most part require BSN as their training is BSN. Whatever the country you apply to you may have issues and will certainly have to wait for a work visa as well as meet that country's requirements to be a licensed nurse
