hi!

can anybody give me an inputs or idea on how to go through about my ordeal:-i'm a Philippine RN ,petitioned by US employer, unfortunately due to retrogression ,etc,my petition was abandoned-at least i presumed ( i say abandoned because there was no communication from them for a year, despite my effort to email, call them or sms them regarding my status),then NVC informed me that i am scheduled for an embassy interview.my dilemma is that, there are documents that i need from my employer whicho i have to present during the interview, and i still got no response from them, what do i haved to do.?anybody?:crying2:

There is no longer a nursing shortage here, while there's a nursing oversupply in the PH. Stories like these will continue with each priority date becoming current.

This morning i received an email from my employer.

Dear Mr Cruz

So many years have passed and at this time our company is not sponsoring foreign nurses. So much has changed and I can't even make a job offer now or in the future, until the time comes. I'm sorry to disappoint you, but my hands are tied. We wish you well in the future endeavors.

I am very hopeless right now and I don't know how to start everything.I don't even know what to do.Please help me what I should do to have an employer. Is it possible that i can use my current priority date if ever i will find a petitioner?

It's saddening to read what happened to your application. I would always say to anyone who aspires to apply in a foreign country to accumulate experience. There is a recession and the world economy is still volatile. Get more experience and you will be more saleable. Also, avoid the US or any country where you have to wait for years before you can get in the door because what you experienced could happen again.

My PD is September 18,2006,petititoned by an employer in Culver.Sadly, they are very quiet, no follow-ups,or even a final word "let's call it quits!".. After reading Mr.Jimmy Cruz' story, suddenly i felt scared. I have no one to turn to. Am i also "abandoned"? June of this month,I went to US embassy(i'm currently working here in SG) to file for a Tourist'S visa which they turned down beause according to the consul who interviewed me, i have a pending petition..i was very disappointed...though i explained as honestly as possible my real intention she still turned me down.If the so-called 'petitioner' will not petiton me anymore will it be forever tagged to my name..do i still have to wait?Since I still have less than a year ,can someone advise me what to do..mY NCLEX is also expiring December 2012...Thank you!

Not sure if you have heard of the bill HR 3012 passing in Congress Nov 29 (as in yesterday) as it will dash the hopes for anyone to obtain a green card. The predictions are for the rest of the year for visas to become unavailable as a result. I am in ROW so our hopes are dashed as well. It is a sad day for nurses. Does not seem possible to immigrate as nurses any longer.

The bill passed in one house of Congress -- it would still need to be passed by the Senate (an entirely different proposition, given the different make-up of the House and the Senate) and signed by the President before it becomes law. Most of the bills that get introduced in Congress never get close to becoming law, and most of the bills that get passed by the House die in the Senate and never become law.

I hope you are right...there is much celebration already on Trackitt and the hatred and unprofessional behavior is disheartening. I just wish we could have a return to schedule A but then with the current climate for nursing it really is not necessary. I am 8 months away from completing my Masters in Nursing so was even willing to look toward EB2 as I am hoping to work as a FNP but if HR 3012 becomes law this may not be possible after all the hard work and money I have spent getting this far.

I am right about the process by which bills become laws. I'm not saying I want the bill to become law, and I'm not enthusiastic about lots of IENs working in the US. I was just commenting on the legislative process because there's a lot of confusion about that within the US, let alone outside the country.

I've read this thread again and thought to myself there's something not right about the post.

Sophiabryan only has one post and asked for jimmycruz's email to refer him to the agency he/she used.

Another agency advertising their trade to skim more money from the vulnerable?

READERS BEWARE!!!

Well I do work with a lot of IEN's currently but I was actually educated in the US. I understand it is difficult for new grads to get jobs these days but that does not seem to be the case for experienced nurses. I have worked the majority of years on a floor that Americans do not want to work on so do not see myself as stealing jobs from Americans. I also do not feel unwelcome by my American friends but find it kind of disheartening to read posts like this from others. I know America can't allow all to immigrate but we came here in part due to the immigration policies of our own country making it hard for my husband to find work there. We are just trying to realize a dream many in America did when America was a little more immigrant friendly.

Hi silverdragon,Im a nurse from phil, pd is january 2006. My original petitioner abandoned my petition, luckily i have new petitioner and is cuurently on packet 1 right now. Today, january 28, i received a a snail mail dated november 10, 2011 that states im for embassy interview on dec 14, 2011. The post man didnot deliver it on time. What should i do now? Even if i have attended that interview i still cannot get job offer from my original petitioner. Is it possible that i call us embassy to reschedule my interview and just present my approved i140 and job offer from my new petitioner on my rescheduled interview? Any idea? Thank you for all your informative blogs here.
