Manila Girds for Huge Health Gathering

Manila, the Philippines' vibrant capital once again plays host to one of this year's biggest gathering of top-caliber nursing leaders as well as health care professionals in the international arena. No less than the President of the Republic of the Philippines, Her Excellency Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is going to be keynote speaker along with the United States of America's top nursing leader, Mary Foley of the American Nurses Association (ANA).

In the aftermath of the tragic events of September 11, 2001, the lives of so many people the world over have never been the same again. For most of us, the tragedy has, on a personal level given us the opportunity to reflect on what truly matters in life and to give freely and voluntarily to others in need.
