I've noticed that no one responded to your query.. I suppose that it may be because you asked for "recent" experiences. It's been years since I took the exam, but when I took it, I used the tapes that INS offered. It is NOT an easy exam, and it is one in which you must be really prepared for. You should have a proficiency with CVC management and care and have been performing IV therapy as a routine part of your everyday job function, to accurately understand all of the ramifications of this test. Bone up on your fluid and electrolytes and know their functions and manifestations of deficiencies. If you are not an oncology nurse, study hard about the many medications currently being used in cancer care and the nursing implications for each drug.
Hope this helps.
