Pediatric IV starts

I am looking for a place to find info on IV start sites for pediatric patients. We have a fairly new PED unit in our hospital and they are placing their own lines. They call our IV team if they have trouble. They would like a picture of vasculature in pediatrics and have asked for some help in choosing sites.. I have done pediatrics, but am not an expert in pediatric starts. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

any good IV Therapy book will have an entire chapter on Pediatric IV Therapy...you will also need to look at the most current INS standards of practice to make sure all your policies and procedures meet the current standard of Care...INS has just published their new an updated textbook...can you tell me what specifically you are interested in knowing about IV starts in this population

I think what they want are just some general guidelines or tricks to help them start lines. I have IV manuals. Our policies are in place and follow standards.
