by NurseLizzy13 Aug 12, '12Hi guys I have a question regarding Fresh Frozen Plasma(FFP) how long does it take to be infused? I heard it should be given in 30-45 min but that's a 300ml bag seems a little too fast to set at 600ml/hr I asked a few nurses but keeper getting different answers. Can someone give me a more clear answer please

- Aug 12, '12 by Asystole RN30 minutes is the standard at which FFPs are infused but as always the rate is highly dependent upon patient tolerance. The standard bag of FFPs is around 200-300ml which really is not a whole lot of volume.
