    Hi guys I have a question regarding Fresh Frozen Plasma(FFP) how long does it take to be infused? I heard it should be given in 30-45 min but that's a 300ml bag seems a little too fast to set at 600ml/hr I asked a few nurses but keeper getting different answers. Can someone give me a more clear answer please

    30 minutes is the standard at which FFPs are infused but as always the rate is highly dependent upon patient tolerance. The standard bag of FFPs is around 200-300ml which really is not a whole lot of volume.

    Maybe it was just my bags had to infuse 4units overnight, pt tolerated fine but at one point I had the IV rate at 600ml for a 318ml bag. Thank for the clarification
