chances: infusion team

I am a new RN but have been a LPN and Esthetician for 15+ years in Western WA.

Currently work in dermatology and love it (lasers, Botox, fillers etc...) People get the misunderstanding that this type of work pays ALOT...not my jobs (have two). I have a great reputation and stead-fast clients....But I am looking into becoming my own boss one day and this field is too competitive (and too expensive) to go it alone.

What do you think my chances are in getting onto a infusion team at a hospital, will they train? Or is it too competitive as well. I love the injection part of my job, but IS different than IV's and PICC lines!!

Additionally, does anyone in western WA contract out inserting PICC lines? This would be my ultimate goal!!!

Thank you for any and all advice.
