If an IV line tip is not in the SVC it is not a central catheter. This subject is supposed to be the main topic in the fall issue of NAVAN.

We use Midlines and SVC's in our facility and have used catheters in the past that were midclavicular. What is it that you are using cath for?

Also check with your state to see if there have any regulations.
