can anyone suggest any certifications while I'm looking for a job..I am a recent grad that has passed my NCLEX RN. I'm interested in critical care, icu, ER and all that good stuff. Someone told me not to get the acls until I start working.
. I just need to get a job..
Well, INS recommends that before you sit for the CRNI exam, you have at least 1600 hours of documented IV therapy experience in the two years proceeding and show a proficiency in dealing with CVC management and care.
So as a new grad, get some experience under your belt before you sit for this one (Certified Registered Nurse Infusion). I would get ACLS and PALS.
