- Dec 23, '08 by LunahRNAvatars are continuing to come and go ... mine is currently gone.
Edited to add: it seems like linking a custom avatar to an external site may be more reliable than trying to upload it. I just did that, and it's working again. We'll see if that "sticks."
Edited to add (again): 30 minutes later my avatar was gone again.
Just fixed it again.

The fact people are speaking out and being listened to is testament to the INTEGRITY of Brian and the staff, and their WILLINGNESS to heed the suggestions and take affirmative action.
I applaud you all for this.
I'll be honest .... I miss the old format! I really do! I liked it as it was.
However ... at the grand old age of 58, the thing I've come to know is ... things change!
Life itself is about change.
It's inevitable that something such as allnurses would/will/did change too.
Heck nursing itself has changed since I began all those years ago!
I'm slowly navigating my way around and finding my way ... ever so slowly!
But I'm sure given time and changes made, we'll all come to feel less disoriented and us the members and the site itself will continue to grow, together.
If you happen to *see* me somewhere on the site looking lost and/or confused ... please put a stamp on me and send me via Australia post back home!
MERRY CHRISTMAS Brian and family and all the staff and families!
Thanks for your hard work and graciousness!
Cheers from Down Under!Last edit by Grace Oz on Dec 23, '08 - Dec 23, '08 by pagandeva2000One thing I just noticed is that everyone can read visitor comments on a person's page. Maybe this needs to be adjusted, because some of those conversations may be personal. I just happened to decide a few minutes ago to drop a note to a friend and was able to see all of the notes left for this person. Not sure if someone would want ANYBODY to have that sort of access...what if a personal comment was made that this was not meant for me to see? I get offended, not 'speak' to this person any longer... I believe outside of basic information on the profile, who their friends are, what messages are left on their board, so to speak should not be accessible for the world to see. This keeps confusion to a minimum and allows us to have privacy. The only folks, I believe that should have this sort of access to see visitor notes are the moderators and staff.caliotter3 likes this.
- Dec 23, '08 by AtheosI know I am being nitpickey
but I don't like the new status tag. The Platinum/Premium Member/Staff/Guide ones.
I thought the names being in the different colors was quite obvious. Maybe not to a new person though I guess.
I am quickly running out of things to whine about.
Stop it!!!!

- Dec 23, '08 by AtheosQuote from pagandeva2000Actually, I was upset by all the changes. The response by Brian and those behind the scenes though has me totally floored. You are running out of things to whine about and you are upset. Off to the corner you go!

It's not normal to whine and complain and have a business actually care.
I'm glad I upgraded my membership.

This will limit access to messages to your contacts and staff.
