Soap: Antimicrobial vs. Nonantimicrobial

by Kelly_the_Great Premium Member

Hello

My hospital system's materials management is looking at changing the soap dispensed on units from antimicrobial to nonantimicrobial because it's cheaper.

I'm trying to find info in regards to the efficacy of antimicrobial versus nonantimicrobial soaps but am finding only ambiguous results...

Do you guys know of any evidence that is more conclusive?

Any help would be greater appreciated!

Thanks

I don't have this sight bookmarked on this computer or I'd send it your way. But try CDC and look for their recommendations for health care handwashing protocals. There could be something there to help.
