Lice and/or Scabies

I would be interested in knowing what is the best product to spray the room with after we have seen an active case of lice and/or scabies? The product we are using kills bacteria, virals, and fungi, but I don't see that it kills bugs and/or parasites. I was told to use it, but what's the point? Thanks.

I have never sprayed a room after a patient was treated for scabies or lice. The items that the person sleeps on, mattress, sheets etc need to be cleaned and the resident must be washed following soap medcations as ordered by the physician. If the resident has a recliner, I would suggest that chair be removed, because it would be next to impossible to get it cleaned.

Hi, thanks for your reply. This is a busy family practice office with several docs. Patients with scabies and/or lice infestation is common. I really am not sure that we need to do anything, except what we normally do to ready the room between patients. We've been spraying with Dispatch after these patients though, not using that room for awhile, etc. Of course they are prescribed the usual treatments to undertake at home. Anyone using this product too, and why? It just seems unnecessary, especially if it doesn't kill bugs and/or parasites? Maybe some of you are familliar with this product? Thanks.
