Hello all! I'm considering going back to school for a BSN. I already have a MPH degree but the job opportunities are limited. Does anyone know much about being a Infection Preventionist, or the average salary? It seems like a nice merge between public health and nursing. Thank you!

Average salary in my area is about the same as a staff nurse with overtime. You generally need a few years experience as a floor nurse before moving to an IP position. A background in microbiology, epidemiology, etc is also helpful. Good luck!
