    I'm interested in IC. I'm wanting to know if there was a particular skill set that you needed to acquire before going into IC or was it OJT? Any and all replies are really and truly appreciated.

    I am wondering the same things as blueheaven!

    I have a BS in medical microbiology with several years of experience in clinical bacteriology, and wonder if this helps out, or if most infection control people are just plain ol' nurses.
