HSV12 and neutropenic precautions

If someone has HSV 1 or 2 with active breakout; can they work with neutropenic patients? One of my friends from school confided in me and I really didn't know the answer!

I'd have your friend check with a doctor, though. It may depend on where the HSV lesions are located, but to say any further could be delving into medical advice that we can't give here.
