Can I do the LPN TO BSN through ISU without TCN?

Hi there Mrsearly2009, you DO NOT HAVE TO GO THROUGH TCN and please do not use them. They are a publishing company. Read and research the information of how many students that have signed a contract with TCN and regret doing that.

Hi there! I am an LPN that is looking to return to school for my BSN. I do not have any pre-reqs and I am looking to start school ASAP. ISU looks like a promising school and I would like any information you can give about it. I do not want to go through TCN because of all of the horror stories and bad reviews. Mrsearly2009, if you are looking to start school ASAP, you must start working on the prerequisites. You can do those various ways: CLEP out, take classes at an accredited community college or university, or go the TCN route. Each has its own pros and cons. There are a number of accredited distant learning community colleges that offer classes--the first one that comes to mind is Ivy Tech in Indiana. I know there are others, but not know their names. Get the prerequisites out of the way an then start working on the challenge exams. I understand you want to start ASAP, but do your research to make sure you are making the right decision that fits your circumstances.
