I would like to start a new thread on this for comparison. The last one was started 3-4 years ago.

AREA: Northern IN

FIELD: Long Term Care

NATURE OF JOB: PRN - RN

BASE RATE: $18.99/hr

SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL: 0.50c (evening and night)

OVERTIME: time and a half

A couple of years ago my aunt said they start new nurses out at 23/hr. That's 6 more than just an hour and a half north!

All the IU Health academic hospitals (IU, Riley, & Methodist) start new nurses at $22.00 with a $5.50 weekend differential. They just recently announced that they would be taking away our after 3pm premium. Community westiview for PRN starts experienced nurses out at $30 per hour with a 15% increase for weekends and a 15% increase for weekends.
