License renewal

  1. 0 I had the unfortunate expereince of losing my job in Indiana. I was wondering if when renewal time comes up if I have to report this to the board. Any help would be great. Thanks

I've never been licensed in IN, but I've been licensed and have worked in a few other states over the years, and I've never had this be an issue in renewing a license. Typically, they might ask about current employment (whether I'm working full or part-time or not working, and who I'm working for) or if I've worked at least X number of hours in the previous two years -- but I've never seen a renewal application that asked me to account for any jobs I might have changed/lost during the previous license term.

If you were terminated from your job then it is reportable to the board. If not then you don't have to report it.
