U.S.A. Indiana

This is the "Not In" thread, or for anyone that's planning on applying for Spring Semester by the Sept 1st deadline.

We need love too! :loveya:

My Boring Stats:

A's in prereq's except ANP 2...taking that class now.

Horribly embarrassing TEAS at 76, still have two more tries. (Which is why I'm taking math and phys sci this summer. lol)

Hope to get into the Bloomington or Terre Haute programs. (Yay! Greene county gets region pts at both. lol)

Currently frazzling myself out with 5 online classes

It's nice to meet you....whoever you are....

You have to go to www.certifiedbackground.com and put in the password that you got when you paid for the check, and also the last 4 digits of your SSN#. When you log in with those, you will see a link for your results. Just print them off and bring to the orientation along with everything else.

At least that is what I understand we are supposed to do.

Sunny,

Go back to certifiedbackgroundcheck.com and you can print your results from there. I was confused on that as well until someone mentioned it in a previous thread and I went on there and was able to print them off.

I haven't gotten either flu shot yet, but I think I'll get both, just to be on the safe side (safe in terms of health--I know it's not required for the program). I don't have my actual vaccine records, but I guess I'll just have my doc's office fax them to me just in case.

I still need shoes and scrubs, but books have all been ordered and should HOPEFULLY arrive by the first day of classes! I got all 10 of them (with the CD-ROM set) on Amazon for $500!

Can't wait for Thursday! So exciting!!

Annie--I don't think we really need actual vaccine records--I just happen to have one from the state of MI with the date of my first MMR when I was a baby so I figured I might as well make a copy of it and submit it. But I think all we really need is the filled out health form they gave us.

Did you get the Sparks & taylor book that they said we wouldn't need? Karen said that it ended up being in the bundle, so I guess I will wait and see what they say on Thurs. before ordering it.

Anyone want to buy a pair of the bookstore's green scrub pants size L? I washed them (but obviously never wore them) so I can't return them. Anyone who wants them for $10 let me know.

You guys see the weather report?

"SNOW ACCUMULATIONS FROM 4 TO 7 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE LATE WEDNESDAY

NIGHT INTO FRIDAY. THE SNOW WILL BE FALLING DURING THE THURSDAY

MORNING RUSH HOUR...WHICH COULD LEAD TO TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. GUSTY

WINDS ON THURSDAY NIGHT MAY CAUSE SOME BLOWING SNOW." NWS

We may have a fun drive in for orientation.

That is just plain nasty talk right there.

Fabulous. How much you wanna bet school gets cancelled for Thursday, then what are we gonna do?

For what it's worth, I know of a lady who can't attend the orientation, and when she told the nursing office about it, they just said that it was okay but that she just might feel more overwhelmed the first week of classes from not hearing what the instructors have to say at orientation.

I was just wandering how they'd notify us "if" they decide to cancel orientation due to weather because school doesn't officially start until following week so there wouldn't be an official closure for the school come across on the news channels. ??? I HATE driving in snow not to mention I have a 45 minute drive without weather problems....should be interesting. I'd hate to leave wicked early due to weather and then finally get there and find out they cancelled it.

Hmm I don't know Karen. I was refering to my kids' schools though, if they get canceled. My oldest is 12 and in 6th grade and I might let him be 'in charge' and let them all be home alone, but just not sure about that yet for a whole day thing. . . a couple hours maybe, but not sure about all day. Not to mention that it sounds like as we are there that day, the weather will continue to be bad and I'd hate to take forever to get home and have them be alone till like 7pm or something like that!

Keeping my fingers crossed for good weather! Out of curiosity, does anyone know if there is breakfast place close to campus? If it hits during rush hour I might head in extra early and grab breakfast, although crazylife, you have a great point on the closure thing. Wouldn't it stink to get all the way there for nothing!

Chris, I share your pain on the kiddo situation. Hoping we don't have to make the call.

Well, I think that if all it is is the instructors telling us about the courses, then I would not rule out keeping an eye on the conditions outside and if it looks like it is getting really bad, to leave early. I don't see why it should take 8 hrs to tell us about the courses in the first place.
