Ivy Tech Indy Acceptance Letter

  1. 0 Hello. I just got an acceptance letter from Ivy Tech Indianapolis. I was just wondering if anyone else out there got one? Would like to talk and maybe make friends. FYI, I got all As and an 88 TEAS.

Hey, I am pretty sure that you can work as a CNA after the first semester. Is anyone already a CNA and if so, how is the pay? Do you like the work? Where do you work?

You guys are so lucky. I wish Bloomington would hurry up and get their letters sent. By the way, after the first semester of nursing school, you can take the certification test for CNA and get to work. Also, a lot of hospitals have positions for Nurse-Intern. That's for after the first semester also, but you don't have to take the CNA exam.

I wish you luck. Please keep us informed. I read about student intern positions through some of the hospitals in Indy. That sounds like an awesome opportunity. I have a friend who was hired for the summer as an intern at a doctor's office. I don't know how much the hospitals pay, but she was paid $12 an hour.

Congatulations everyone! I am hoping to get a letter any day now for the Valparaiso Ivy Tech RN program. I called the campus last week and they said that they were hoping to send the letters out this week but that they have until the 30th to get the letters out. I hope I get mine today.

Good luck to all of you.

I just got my letter yesterday. I have been accepted to the Valpo campus RN program for Spring 08. I am so excited! :spin: It is a good thing I got the letter yesterday - I don't think I could have waited much longer - I was starting to worry that I wasn't going to get in. I am so happy now.

Congratulations!!! That is so great to hear how many people are getting acceptance letters instead of rejections!!! How many people get accepted at Valpo? Do you already have your CNA or LPN?

Thanks! I'm not sure how many they accepted. I think maybe 60. Not sure.

I just took my state test to get my CNA license 2 weeks ago and I passed. Now I am trying to find the best nursing home in the area to work at. There is one in the area that is offering a $1000 sign on bonus, but everyone is telling me to be very careful because there must be a reason that they are that desperate to pay someone a bonus to get them to stay.

Do you have your CNA or LPN? Also, I heard that at Ivy Tech if you already have your CNA license you don't have to take Fundamentals of Nursing Lab. That would be one less class to take. I guess we'll find out at orientation.

Congratulations on your CNA - that bonus does sound rather suspicious? Like a bribe? Hm, worth investigating though I guess.

I feel so jealous of everyone! I was planning on getting into counseling and the psychology field and then completely switched routes and chose nursing. Because of that I DO NOT have my CNA, LPN - nothing! No experience. I feel like I shot myself in the foot. I have met vitually no one getting into the field who does not have experience. I guess there is a first time for everything? I feel like I'm in over my head.

Guess either way I'll have to take Fund Nurs Lab, maybe you will luck out though?

    AH! I'm feeling overwhelmed today!
