Evansville area FT LPN jobs?

Specializes in long term care, med-surg and adult MR/DD.

Thought I had a position lined up with my current employer at a different location since we are relocating to the Evansville area. Turns out the paperwork wasn't completed timely and the postion has possibly already been filled. My last day was yesterday at the "old" location.

Where to start? I checked online job searches but didn't find much there for FT days or evenings. I would rather work 3-11 than 7-3 but would take combo position. I don't do nights (per dr. recommendation, BTDT, too many problems).

I need medical and dental benefits for family that won't kill the budget. I can't afford not to work esp with the moving expenses. I prefer hands-on nursing care as I had an office type job that I didn't like.

Hi, and welcome to Evansville! I realize it's a little late, I see you posted in July, but anyway there are LOTS of LPN jobs here. I recently put in 4 apps and got 2 responses and a job! I'll list some of the "better" places to work by reputation (in no particular order): Heritage Center, Parkview Care Center, Bethel Manor, Good Samaritan Home, Evansville Protestant Home, Angel River (in Newburgh), that's all I can think of that's LTC. The Evansville State Hospital has excellent benefits d/t being state run, but doesn't pay as well. Most places have benefits but they can be costly. I use the "indeed.com" search engine for LPN jobs in the area. They usually have the most comprehensive, up-to-date job listings in the area. There is always "HR Solutions", a temp agency if you enjoy agency work. St. Mary's is always hiring for LPN's in MD offices, and they tend to list on "wfie.com", channel 14's website. Welborn Clinic is not hiring at the moment since Deaconess bought them out. I'm sure there are other very good LTC's in the area, and if I forgot you by all means, let the lady know! If I can think of anything else I'll let you know.
