Applying for Ivy Tech Spring 2011

U.S.A. Indiana

I'll be applying soon for the Spring 2011 ASN program at Ivy Tech Lawrence campus. I currently have a score of 211, with 4 A's in the pre-reqs, and an 88 on the TEAS test. I have another opportunity to take the TEAS test before my application is due, and I could probably raise my score 2 or 3 points. My question is, do you think it's necessary to take the TEAS again to raise my score, or is my current score sufficient. Also, does anyone know what the cutoff score was for acceptance to Fall 2010's ASN class?

Haha, I was just asking the same question! I had the exact same score as you! 88. I took the TEAS again and I scored a 91. I definitely think it was worth it! If you go to the same place it is the exact same test, same questions, everything! but I knew that before I took it so I memorized the questions with the extra time I had :) So if you've got the money for it-definitely take it again. Even if the cut off ends up being lower than it was last fall(211) I'll be happy knowing I am higher up on the list. Goodluck! Hopefully we'll see each other at Lawrence next Spring!!!

You have a very competitive score, and I'd be inclined to say that you're probably good - however, with the scores as high as they are right now, it definitely wouldn't hurt to take it again!

Per other member's posts, it took a 211 to get in at Indy for this Fall's RN program. Spring is usually less competitive, but I would take the test again to be on the safe side.
