I'm currently taking APHY 201 at Ivy Tech in Kokomo and I'm really taking a beating so far. I'm used to getting lots of information out of my lectures and using that to prepare for my exams but in this class that seems very inaffective. We have an exam next week and the prof admitted in class that he wasn't sure what the % break down of the chapters will be, because he hasn't looked at the exam yet....
I'm attempting to stick to the book and try to retain as much of the information as I can but its very difficult. Does anyone have any tips on how to retain all the information or how to really prep for these exams? Our exam is over the respitory and digestive systems and while I feel I get quite a bit of the information, it seems like when I take the exams the information I know isn't what I needed to know.

Use the practice exams on the course compass web site. Take them over and over. That works for me.

If Kokomo uses the same text as Evansville Ivy Tech Hole's Human Anatomy & Physiology 11th edition. Look on page 709 & 710 for digestive system. The chapter summary. Our teacher gives a study guide for the test, but basically the study guide is the chapter summary on paper. I just memorize it. The chapter summary is all the critical info pulled out of the chapter.

You're talking about Advanced Physio, right? Everyone that I know that has taken this course has said that it is extremely difficult!!! I've decided to take one of the other options. I'm too scared of that class!
