I'm taking the TEAS for the first time on Monday *cross fingers*

So far APHY 201 has been okay I guess. The lecture from the second week, oh man, I thought it was never going to end. Na/K pump, woo.hoo.

When is your class? I have mine on Tuesday/Thurs nights - I don't know why they went on and on about the Na/K pump for so long...it's like they are trying to freak us out.

Hi melissa2012
I would be interested in your opinion of the Morrison study material. I bought it and looked it over. I gained a few things. I guess it is worth the money if it puts me over on the test. The material in my opinion is definitely not a night/day eye opener of information. The math was o.k the science was overwhelming, English is lacking.
I am getting some tutor help for the English. I will test again in February. The English is one of those things I never really learned very well. I read all the time, I understand everything I read. I can even tell you a sentence doesn't look or sound right. Picking the correction is confusing. I wonder how medical professionals that speak broken English and write poorly get through the system. I won't dwell on that too much i will concentrate on my short coming and get through it.

My section of 201 is on Saturdays, both lecture and lab. It makes for a long day, but it was the only one that worked with my work schedule so...

If I didn't work on Saturdays, I definitely would have taken that one. Good luck on the TEAS! Let us know how you do. You will be fine

I thought the Morrison manual was okay. To be completely honest I have only flipped through the science section so far, a little bit of math. I would probably not have purchased it, but it was available at our local library, as was the ATI manual, so I checked both out there. Monday I took the TEAS for the first time and did okay but not as well as I'd hoped. I did not study before I went, but I felt rushed to hurry up and take it once so that I could do three times before the April 1 deadline. That was pretty stupid, I know. I will retest at the end of February and hopefully bring my score up. I plan to go over the study guides, plus do some additional reviewing on every topic there is since lords knows what will pop up.

I don't mean to be a drama queen, but I've got a 4.0 GPA and am afraid I could throw away my chance at getting into the program by not doing damn near perfectly on the TEAS. Urgh.

I used a science GED book and it really helped. The science portion is all over the place on that test. Good Luck.

I bought the Morrison flash cards and a few of them are helpful, but really the information was more complex than what was needed to know for the TEAS.

UP-DATE; I passed the TEAS yesterday. I achieved an overall of 80%. The English brought me way down, I slid in with a 70.9%. I found this site for English review and practice. http://www.smic.be/smic5022/exercisesgrammar.htm
