    Hello,

    I am new to the site. Currently I am taking prereqs to hopefully be accepted to Loyola University's ABSN program in January. My question is, is there any other ABSN programs out there where I could earn my BSN in less than a 16 months that is not as costly as Loyola's program which is roughly $47,000. I am divorced and now a single mother and will need to take out extra loans to pay my bills once I start this program because I will be unable to work while taking this intense program which is roughly 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.

    Also, has anyone who has joined the ABSN program worked? If so, what kind of work were you able to do while in such an extensive program?

    I consider this a sacrifice that I need to make in order to obtain a secure employment future and I will be working doing something I am passionate about (helping people). I currently have a BS Business Management degree.

    Any help would be grately appreciated.

    I'm not positive..but check the Resurrection program.. that might be around 16 months long and less expensive than Loyola!

    Last I checked Res U was 16 months as well. They do have a nights and weekend program that takes 21 months if you want to work. Lewis University also has a nights and weekend program that is about 2 years long.

    I don't think you'll find a ABSN that is 12 months long. Just too much to cover in that time. Even if you did find one, ther would be no way you could work in a program like that. I heard through the grapevine that Chamberlin may be looking to install their 13 month program in Addison laterthis year, but that is just hear-say.
