VA Nurse Residency Hines IL

I just graduated in may 2012 with my BSN and passed the NCLEX. I applied for the VA nurse residency at the Hospital located in Hines, IL. I went for an interview on August 17th and I thought it went really well. They said they would be making their decisions the next week but I still have not heard anything back. I know that the VA is receiving the new fiscal year on September 1st so I am wondering if they are waiting until then to see how many they can hire? I have heard that it can take a long time to hear back from the VA about a job. Is there anyone else that applied for this residency or anyone who has applied in the past that can tell me how long after the interview they were contacted?
